Viking Twin Otter Series 400 Receives FAA And Russian IACAR TC

Clears Aircraft For Delivery To The U.S. Army Golden Knights

Viking Air Limited of Victoria, BC, Canada has received FAA Type Certification for the DHC-6 Series 400 Twin Otter, adding to the list of nine countries already recognizing the type since program launch in 2007. Under an amendment of the Type Certificate Data Sheet A9EA, the Series 400 Twin Otter has been added to the approved list of 100, 200, and 300 Series of DHC-6 Twin Otter aircraft.

The second prototype of the AW169, a new generation light intermediate helicopter, successfully completed its maiden flight Friday at Cascina Costa in Italy. A new training center in Barcelona, Spain for commercial aircraft pilots and cabin crew by simulator company CAE. It is located in Parc de Negocis Mas Blau II, near the main operations of Vueling Airlines, the anchor customer of the new facility.
