Delta Shifts 12 Jets Away From Comair

May Cost As Many As 264 Jobs

Delta Air Lines has made good on its promise to shift regional jet operations to more cost-efficient carriers, even if it means taking away business from its own low-cost subsidiary. On Tuesday, Delta announced it will reassign 12 CRJ700 regional jets from Comair, to SkyWest early next year.

APA Calls on Brazil to Release Pilots: ‘Accident Investigation Should Not Be A Criminal Proceeding’

The Allied Pilots Association (APA) has issued an updated statement calling for the release of the two pilots of an ExcelAire Embraer Legacy 600 that was involved in an apparent mid-air collision with a Gol Airlines Boeing 737 on Sept. 29 over Brazil. The two pilots, who are U.S. citizens, were required by Brazilian authorities to surrender their passports and have been detained since the accident.

AD NUMBER: 2006-24-01 MANUFACTURER: Cessna SUBJECT: Airworthiness Directive 2006-24-01 SUMMARY: The FAA is superseding an existing airworthiness directive (AD) that applies to certain Cessna Model 750 airplanes.

An aggressive legal action has been filed against Lycoming Engines, Avco Corporation and Textron, Inc., by Jones Law Offices and Ralph C. Hardesty and Associates, claiming class action status for a pool of victims estimated at over 5000.
