Mid-Air With MiG-21 On Photo Flight Believed Not The Cause

A twin-engine Piper Cheyennne on a photo mission with a MiG-21 went down near Prescott, AZ early Wednesday afternoon, killing a confirmed five and possibly six people. While early reports suggested there was a mid-air collision, it appears now that the Cheyenne did not clip the Mig and crashed for undetermined reasons.

Union: Company Executives Attempt to Slash Workers' Health Care Coverage

Teamster mechanics, aircraft fuelers, cleaners and stock clerks employed by NetJets, Inc., a provider of fractional and air charter service, continued informational picketing and leafleting on October 17 and 18. Members of Teamsters Local 284 in Columbus, the workers drew attention to their 'fruitless contract negotiations with NetJets.'

Southwest Airlines pilots elected a new Union president for the 2007-2008 term in the Fall 2006 General Election that closed at noon Central Time on Oct. 18. Capt. Carl Kuwitzky, 50, is a Dallas-based captain and has been at Southwest since 1983.

Three POBs Lost

A Diamond DA40-tdi has been lost at sea in a rare fatal accident occurring to this genre of aircraft, Monday. The new owner of the Diamond DA40-tdi (file photo, below), OE-KLA (S/N D4.008), had been manufactured in 2003 and was equipped for Night-VFR operations.
