Avidyne Announces AML-STC Approval For EX600 MFD

New Model Now Approved For Over 650 Aircraft

Avidyne Corporation recently announced they have received FAA Approved Model List - Supplemental Type Certification (AML-STC) approval for their new EX600 MFD.  This AML-STC, which comes on the heels of the TSO approval that was granted at the end of December, authorizes installation of the EX600 MFD in over 650 Part 23 Class I, II, and III aircraft makes and models.

"Customer and dealer response to our recent EX600 introduction has been fantastic-especially for its Map Panning and QuickPan capabilities," said Patrick Herguth, Avidyne's Chief Operating Officer.  "This AML-STC provides the approval basis for our dealers to install our newest and best-ever MFD in a wide variety of general aviation airplanes and helicopters."

The EX600 offers a 5.8-in display designed for readability in direct sunlight along with the the ability to display CMax approach charts, support for European VFR Charts, and standard interfaces for traffic and color lightning.

With interfaces to nineteen different radar models, the EX600 is the leader in radar-replacement MFDs, meaning it can act as a display replacement for many out-dated and un-repairable CRT radar displays, while adding significant situational awareness and utility enhancements.

EX600 is now shipping with prices starting at $9,990.  Bendix, Bendix/King, and Collins interfaces are available at additional cost.

Avidyne announced a trade-in program for older generation MFDs toward a new EX600. Existing EX500 owners are being offered an upgrade to the EX600 starting at only $5,495.
