Upgraded: Scott Dolan

Atlas Air Names Scott Dolan Chief Operating Officer

Atlas Air Worldwide Holdings Inc. has appointed of Scott Dolan as Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer.

Dolan, who had served as Vice President of Operations for the company's Polar Air Cargo Inc. subsidiary, is now responsible for day-to-day operations at both Atlas Air Inc. and Polar Air Cargo.

"Scott's leadership and in-depth knowledge of our operations, his expertise in best practices, and his business acumen will ensure that we have the proper resources and processes in place to continue to meet the demands of our customers and operate safely and efficiently," said Jeff Erickson, President of Atlas Air Worldwide Holdings. Erickson previously held both the President and Chief Operating Officer titles.

Dolan first joined Polar Air Cargo in 1999, and later was named Vice President of Operational Performance and Quality. He also has served as Vice President of Business Integration, leading the successful transition of Polar's operations to Purchase (NY), from Long Beach (CA), earlier this year.

Prior to joining Polar, Dolan held various positions at General Electric's Lighting and GECAS businesses, focusing on productivity, efficiency, quality and reliability. He is trained as a Master Black Belt in GE's Six Sigma quality program. Dolan holds a bachelor's degree in civil and environmental engineering from Vanderbilt University and a master's degree in systems, control and industrial engineering from Case Western Reserve University.
