Better Than The $100 Hamburger

Sporty's Fly-In/Open House Will Have Free Hot Dogs!

Sporty’s Pilot Shop -- and its FBO affiliate, Eastern Cincinnati Aviation -- will hold a Fly-In and Open House at Clermont County Airport (I69) on Saturday, May 20, 2006. As if pilots needed an added incentive to visit Batavia, OH, a hot dog lunch will be served on Sporty's nickel. (Soft drinks and other snacks will be available for purchase.)

The event will be held, rain or shine, from 10am to 3 pm.

Manufacturers exhibiting their wares at the Fly-In include Bose, Garmin, Sigtronics, Honeywell, and Avidyne, along with several dozen other companies. Representatives will be on hand to demonstrate their products and answer questions.

Ed Carlson, best known for his expertise on flying the North Atlantic in GA aircraft, will host a seminar for pilots considering this challenging flight for the first time.

"I’ll show pilots how to fly the pond safely and enjoyably," said Carlson.

Representatives from Garmin, Honeywell and others will also hold FREE seminars throughout the day to familiarize pilots with their products.

Sporty's representatives will also be on hand to talk with attendees about various products and services offered by Sporty's including a presentation on the University of Cincinnati Aviation Technology Program, displays featuring flight training at Eastern Cincinnati Aviation, Sandy's Farm Residential Airpark and Cincinnati Avionics.

Visitors to the Open House may also visit the Tri-State Warbird Museum on the airport. This 20,000 square foot facility houses a number of classic aircraft, including the award-winning P51-D named Cincinnati Miss.
