The Company Recently Leased Several B767 Cargo Aircraft
Amerijet International has announced its acquisition of a
majority interest in Nations Express, a nationwide express trucking
company based in Charlotte, NC. Nations Express operates a fleet of
approximately 200 trucks in an express charter truck service.
John R. Nash, CFO of Amerijet stated, "Nations Express
represents a company doing all the right things, at the right time,
and a company we believe is a unique fit with Amerijet and our
global logistics services. We believe our two companies service
customers who desire specialized services and that our products,
whether combined or sold separately will be valuable to each of our
customers."
William R. Frazier, Nations Express President and CEO further
added, "The investment by Amerijet will provide the additional
capital necessary for the Company to take advantage of a number of
exciting growth opportunities in the ground freight transportation
industry as well as new freight service opportunities offered by
Amerijet International, Inc. We look forward to working with the
professional management team associated with Amerijet."
This acquisition coincides with Amerijet's recent announcement
to lease five Boeing 767-200 cargo aircraft. These aircraft will
compliment its historical fleet of Boeing 727-200's. Amerijet also
just announced its acquisition of SRX Transcontinental, a Florida
based company specializing in ground handling operations throughout
Central Asia, and owner of Avialeasing Aviation Company, an
Uzbekistan certificated airline with US DOT Part 129 authority. SRX
and Avialeasing market the sales, charter operations, and contract
maintenance of Antonov An-12 and An-26 aircraft based from both
Uzbekistan and Miami, Florida. These aircraft are known for their
ramp loading capabilities, winch and crane cargo handling system
enabling it to load heavy and oversized cargo, as well as their
ability to operate to airports not normally served by other
commercial and or cargo aircraft.
