Singapore 2008: Goodrich Expands MRO Campus

New Facility More Than Doubles Existing Space

This week, at the 2008 Singapore Air Show, aircraft components maker Goodrich unveiled its expanded maintenance and repair campus in that country, a move intended to bolster servicing options for aerospace customers in Asia, Australia and the Pacific Rim.

The Charlotte Business Journal reports Goodrich broke ground on the 300,000 square-foot expansion in June 2006 -- more than doubling in size the company's existing 230,000 square foot facility.

"The new site is strategically located to serve our Asian and Pacific customers and provide a range of services which spans Goodrich's diverse original manufactured equipment," says Cindy Egnotovich, segment president for Goodrich's nacelles and interior systems.

"For our customer, it's all about enhancing the speed and ease of doing business with us by providing the right assets in the right place at the right time."

The $23 million upgraded facility will serve both commercial and military aviation customers throughout the region. Services will be available for a wide variety of aircraft, as well as flight controls, cargo systems, and engine casings.
