Cirrus Owners & Pilots Association Announces 'Migration 6' Plans

Registration Now Open For July 10-13 Gathering In Duluth

The folks at COPA (The Cirrus Owners and Pilots Association) told ANN this week of the opening of registration for the association's 6th annual Convention, Exposition and Fly-In, to be held in Duluth, MN from July 10 through July 13, 2008.

Duluth is the home of Cirrus Design Corporation. Hundreds of COPA members, along with family and friends, will "migrate" back to the Cirrus factory and headquarters for the largest gathering of Cirrus airplanes anywhere, ever.

Five years ago, a handful of COPA members created the Migration concept as a way to gather and bond with one another and with their "extended family" at Cirrus Design. Just as birds return to their nest each year, Cirrus aircraft descend upon Duluth in an annual visit "home."

Organizers tell ANN this Migration will expand upon activities of previous years, with safety training seminars, vendor exhibits, training flights, factory tours, Dinner/Banquet, and renowned aviation guest speakers -- always with an emphasis on promoting flying safety while having fun. For COPA enthusiasts, this is THE main event of the year.

This year there will be a strong emphasis on "Connections" -- personal, aviation, professional, safety, and family, with a reprise of the successful "Camp COPA" for the kids and the "Partner Program," providing special seminars and entertainment for frequent flyer, non-pilot attendees.

Migration 6 is expected to attract over 200 aircraft, 450 attendees and 60 exhibitors. The organizers of Migration 6 are pleased to announce that pilot, author and speaker-extraordinaire, Rod Machado will join the presenters at the convention.

"We are looking forward to the best Migration yet in Duluth" said Migration Chairman and COPA President Emeritus, Mike Radomsky. "Our volunteers are hard at work now, to ensure a memorable weekend for all."

COPA notes Migration 6 is open to everyone, whether they own a Cirrus plane or not.
