ARINC Direct Opens a One-Stop Service Facility for Bizjets

Barely a month after launching a new 24-hour flight support center for business aviation, ARINC Direct today unveiled another phase of its plan to support general aviation across North America-a new hangar and expanded aircraft servicing facility at Colorado Springs Airport (COS).

The new ARINC Direct facility will specialize in maintaining and modifying business aircraft for corporate customers. It significantly expands on a range of services ARINC has provided at Colorado Springs for several years. As the new hangar paint was still drying, the first customer-a Lear Jet 35-was rolled in.

"Our expanded capabilities answer the need for a specialized, independent source of business aircraft services," stated Dave Poltorak, Vice President of Business Aviation Services. "We bring together the highest OEM-grade service skills with certified engineering and technical support. ARINC Direct now offers full aircraft maintenance management programs, avionics support and integration, system analysis and engineering, plus RVSM and other regulation-driven upgrades-all from a single, convenient source."

As the January 2005 deadline for domestic RVSM draws near, thousands of North American corporate aircraft will need services to achieve RVSM compliance. "ARINC Direct offers one-stop RVSM compliance services." Poltorak says, "Now flight departments and private operators can get all needed aircraft modifications, height monitoring, and approval manuals from a single source. We've already completed RVSM work on thousands of corporate aircraft, commercial airliners, and on the FAA's own Boeing 727."

ARINC Direct also announced an aircraft maintenance management program for corporate aircraft based at Colorado Springs. Aircraft under the management plan are placed on a computerized maintenance program that includes all pre-and post-flight services and logbook maintenance.

The ARINC Direct Colorado Springs facility now performs all standard types of required aircraft inspections-annual inspections, 100-hour inspections, Phase 1-5 inspections, and other inspections if necessary. It also offers Aircraft on Ground (AOG) support to corporate customers 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

"The ARINC Direct facility at Colorado Springs is now one of North America's premier integration and maintenance centers for light, corporate, and regional aircraft," said Poltorak. "We offer the same skill levels as the OEM's, and because we are independent, we can recommend hardware and service with complete objectivity. I think many flight departments and private operators will appreciate having a partner like that."
