American Eurocopter Delivers EC120 To Corporate Helicopters

Multirole Helo To Be Deployed For VIP Transport

American Eurocopter announced Thursday the delivery of an EC120 to Corporate Helicopters, a helicopter service provider based in San Diego, CA. Corporate Helicopters performs a diverse set of missions including VIP/corporate transport, aerial film and photography, EMS, firefighting, television news/ENG, and tourism. This EC120 will serve the VIP/Corporate transport industry.

"The EC120 was chosen because it is more technologically advanced and offers more advantages than its competitors on the market," explained Ivor Shier, President of Corporate Helicopters. "Customers today are more sophisticated. They want their helicopters to have style and to provide comfort, performance, excellent visibility and low noise signatures. The EC120 offers all of this and more."

The EC120 is a multipurpose light helicopter designed to provide operators with mission flexibility in a sleek airframe. It is equipped with modern technologies, such as the Vehicle and Engine Multifunction Display (VEMD) and the new generation Fenestron tail rotor, that provides one of the most environmentally conscious sound signatures among civil turbine helicopters.

Powered by a Turbomeca ARRIUS 2F engine known for its low fuel consumption, the EC120 has become the most widely accepted aircraft in its class since its introduction to the US market in the 1998. The aircraft’s maneuverability and low pilot workload have made it the choice for civilian and parapublic missions across the United States.

The EC120 also patrols this nation's borders as part of US Customs and Border Protection’s fleet.
