Creates 'Comprehensive Executive Jet Facility'
Aircraft and Turbine Support Inc of Tulsa International Airport
tells ANN that it has completed the bulk of a multi-million dollar
expansion project. The aviation services company moved into its
newly minted location in January, and has been fully operational
ever since. The FBO expects to hold its grand opening in late
spring of this year. New additions and updates include a remodeled
terminal, a Corporate Aviation Complex for rentable executive
office space, and a 22,000 square foot storage hangar.
"Our facility is spacious," general manager Joe Cole said, "but
it's not overwhelming. We've built an FBO that delivers the
ultimate level of comfort without the gold and marble everywhere,
in order to maintain low fuel prices and keep overall costs
down."
Located on the southwest corner of the airport with direct
highway access, Aircraft and Turbine Support is ideally positioned
for customers to access metro Tulsa, Owasso and Jenks, Oklahoma.
The large terminal space offers visitors a high-end coffee bar,
conference rooms, and even a training room. Pilots enjoy a viewing
theater, pool table and computers, in addition to a fully-loaded
crew area that provides recliners in a heavily insulated and dark
snooze room. A nearby courtyard and dog run allow customers and
even their dogs to enjoy the Oklahoma weather.
"We have a diverse aviation complex here with room for
additional growth," said Cole. "It's really Tulsa International's
first executive jet facility, in terms of the range of repair
offerings as well as the other extensive services we provide."
Aircraft and Turbine Support specializes in "away from base"
maintenance for Challenger, Falcon, Lear, Hawker and Westwind
aircraft. Capabilities include overhauls on GE CJ610 and CF700
engines. As an FAA Certified Repair Station with ratings for
Limited Power Plant, Limited Airframe, Limited Specialized Service
and Limited Accessories, this FBO provides flight departments all
over the country with comprehensive aircraft service.
