For over a decade, one of the most tumultuous in aviation
history, and encompassing some 150,000 stories, 5000 Aero-Casts as
well as over 1100 Aero-TV video features, the Aero-News Network has
sought to be the premier source for innovative, ground-breaking,
honest, real-time aviation news. And when each exciting new
generation of aviation news products and programs were released,
over the last decade or so, it was Aero-News that brought them to
fruition.
With our 24/7, Real-Time, coverage we have often been the first
to bring you the hard-hitting stories that matter most to the
Aviation World. Now, Aero-News is expanding its efforts, once
again, to bring you aviation news in a new and exciting way, with
an evolving concept we call Airborne. Airborne programing will
initially be brought to you as a synoptic weekly Newscast (with
increasing frequency as 2012 gets underway) covering the top
stories in aviation from the prior week, brought to you on
aero-news.net in a high-def (HD!) web/broadcast format.
Airborne will feature guest appearances and commentary from some
of Aviation’s leading dignitaries, as well as some of
Aero-News own familiar faces. News-Editors and Producers Tom Patton
and Paul Plack, as well as Aero-News Editor-In-Chief Jim Campbell
will lend their voices to the show, offering their own input,
expertise and insight.
Each 20-30 minute program will feature aggressive reporting
extensive B-Roll (compiled from ANN’s five years of intensive
video programming and archived footage), a number of guest news
reporters, the occasional Skype or in-person video
interview/analysis, a number of special Aero-Features geared to
make Airborne LIVELY as well as informative, and the same slick,
high-quality production values that have been our stock in trade
(really) from day one. It’s not just the usual web video with
20 minutes of ‘talking head’ …but truly
engaging, news-packed, graphically enhanced, B-Roll-Rich,
fast-paced Aero-News content and Aero-Analysis of lasting value to
the aviation community.
That's Not All... we have dozens of exciting ideas that we plan
to implement as Airborne matures and evolves. Among the inaugural
features offered with the early upcoming Airborne programs are 'AVW
-- The Aero-Video of the Week' where Airborne will spotlight a
noteworthy online aviation or aerospace related video that deserves
some time in front of your eyeballs, and 'Barnstorming' a
continuation of Jim Campbell's popular editorial commentary, these
short editorial insights will not only be supplied by ANN's
irascible Editor-In-Chief, but will be open to others with
viewpoints and insights that deserve to be heard by those who look
to ANN for news and information, worldwide. There's more, much
more... but let's not get ahead of ourselves and leave a few things
to surprise you with later on.
And finally; we’re undertaking some exciting initiatives
in terms of news-partnerships, collaboration (some of which will
really surprise you) and distribution (inside and outside the
conventional aviation world) as well as program placement... not to
mention some truly inspired program upgrades that will be added on
a regular basis to make sure that ‘Airborne’ remains
innovative, fresh, and best of all, the best aviation news
programming, extant. ANN welcomes inquiries from outside
organizations, companies, clubs, personalities and experts as to
how we might collaborate on future Airborne programming content and
concepts--and invites one and all to touch bases with us as to how
we might work together.
By the way... one interesting facet of Airborne is the fact that
this is a program that is meant to be taken on the road... to the
most exciting events, locations and pivotal aviation gatherings in
the business... as well as just plain interesting spots to serve as
a backdrop to future Airborne programs. If YOU want to host one o
more Airborne program from YOUR locale, be it an airport, museum,
company, organization, headquarters, you name it; be sure to
contact Airborne and chat us up to talk to us about something one
or more Airborne programs.
So... we’re building a solid new programming set here...
with a definite and evolving plan for solid incremental upgrades so
that the bar keeps getting raised week after week, month after
month, leading the way in innovative aviation media... and YOU can
be a big part of it all. Please keep in mind one thing above all
else... every major leap forward in aviation media coverage of the
last decade, as far as the web is concerned, happened first at
ANN... and we’re bound and determined to set the bar higher
than ever before. This is your best chance to stake your ground as
a leader, with ANN, in raising the bar yet again in terms of the
comprehensive, quality, vital information needed every day by the
aviation world.
