OneSky Jets Goes Both Ways

Part 135 Operators Can Keep A Full Belly

Part 135 Operators know how costly it is to have an "empty-leg" mission. To get the most return on their investment, these folks want to have their aircraft in the air and carrying passengers. Enter OneSky Jets. It has found a niche market for itself in the private jet sector. The company's mission is to bring together the Part 135 Operators with their potential clients and it is all done over the internet.

A SkyJet Membership is not a fractional jet owership nor does not require an up-front capital outlay. Rather, it is an "on demand, pay as you go" program which gives the client a lot of choices, and the Part 135 owners exposure to potential customers. How it works is very simple. A client logs onto the OneSky Jets' website and enters some criteria. OneSky Jets then matches this customer's needs to a Part 135 Operator in its data base who can best accomodate the client. OneSky Jets acts as a consultant for the client and a broker for the Part 135 Operator. OneSkys' philosophy is "you should never have an ordinary flight."

To be selected by the company, the Part 135 Operator must meet the ARGUS Gold Standard. Contrary to their name, OneSky Jets does not limit itself to jets, but also offers turbo-prop aircraft service as well. Justin Sullivan, VP of Sales said that the company's mission was to "make aviation available to everyone." The client can choose the type, make, model and can even select aircraft by N number.

"If someone has had a particularly good experience with one of our carriers," said Justin Sullivan, "they often request the same aircraft again."

OneSky Jets can accommodate requests and reservations for aircraft service in as little as 12 hours in advance.
