There Will Be No Site Closures At Air Traffic Control Towers Or Flight Service Stations Amidst questions and concerns; NAV Canada confirmed that it will maintain air traffic control service to Canadian communities, including Fort McMurray AB, Prince George BC, Regina SK, Saint-Jean QC, Sault Ste. Marie ON, Whitehorse YT and Windsor ON. Last fall, NAV Canada launched 29 aeronautical studies in an effort to safely streamline its operations, ensuring that air navigation services align with market demand. After considerable consultation with airlines, airports, industry associations, local officials and internal stakeholders, NAV Canada has elected to limit changes to services across the country.

While at EAA AirVenture 2014, ANN News Editor Tom Patton caught up with Kyle Franklin at the Concorde Battery display booth. Patton has been checking up on the health of the airshow industry and he asked Franklin to give his views. Franklin indicated that, in his opinion, the industry is coming back from the doldrums it was in last year. Franklin ranks as one of the most popular performers because of the type of routines he performs and the airplanes he uses.

AD 2021-08-18 Prompted By The Discovery That Certain Part Numbers Listed In AD 2021-04-16 Are Incorrect

The FAA is superseding Airworthiness Directive (AD) 2021-04-16 which applied to certain Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation (Sikorsky) Model S-92A helicopters. AD 2021-04-16 required a one-time inspection of the landing gear for components with non-conforming threads and removal of any non-conforming threaded hinge pin and main landing gear (MLG) and nose landing gear (NLG) actuator pins. AD 2021-04-16 also prohibited installing certain part-numbered hinge and actuator pins on any helicopter. This AD requires the same actions but corrects erroneous part numbers. AD 2021-09-02 Corrects An Incorrect Modification Kit Part Number

The FAA is superseding Airworthiness Directive (AD) 2021-04-07 which applied to certain Piper Aircraft, Inc., (Piper) Models PA-46-350P (Malibu Mirage), PA-46R-350T (Malibu Matrix), and PA-46-500TP (Malibu Meridian) airplanes. AD 2021-04-07 required identifying and correcting nonconforming stall warning heat control systems. Since AD 2021-04-07 was issued, the FAA was notified of an error in the stall warning heat control modification kit part number. This AD retains all of the actions in AD 2021-04-07 and corrects the incorrect modification kit part number. The FAA is issuing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products. This AD is effective April 16, 2021.

Aero Linx: The Regional Air Cargo Carriers Association Recognizing that this dynamic, growing industry lacked an effective and dedicated voice representing it before the federal government, the aviation community, and the media, RACCA was formed in 2002. Fly Heading (Degrees) Informs the pilot of the heading he/she should fly. The pilot may have to turn to, or continue on, a specific compass direction in order to comply with the instructions. The pilot is expected to turn in the shorter direction to the heading unless otherwise instructed by ATC.
