Duncan Aviation’s Battle Creek Facility Welcomes New Department Manager

Make Kahle Will Lead The Avionics Install/Line Unit

Duncan Aviation recently welcomed a new Manager of Avionics Install/Line Services Department. Mark Kahle has been named to the position at the company's Battle Creek, MI location.

When he started at Duncan Aviation in 1998, Kahle served as a wiring apprentice in the Installation department, transitioning to Team Leader several years later. During the last several years, Kahle has worked in the Engineering & Certification Services Department as a Certification Coordinator and Team Leader.

“We’re thrilled to have Mark and his family make the transition to Battle Creek,” says Nate Darlington. “Mark’s leadership, technical knowledge, and passion to serve our customers make him a great addition to the leadership team in Battle Creek. We look forward to his continued success in this new role.”

Kahle has spent his 21-year career with Duncan Aviation at its Lincoln, Nebraska, facility, and he welcomes the opportunity to work with Duncan Aviation team members and customers in his new capacity. “Duncan Aviation has provided me many opportunities during my aviation career, and I’m grateful for each of them. My transition to Battle Creek is yet another,” says Kahle. “I’m excited to join the Avionics team and am looking forward to working alongside of all of our team members as we strive to provide the best service and experience possible for each of our customers.”

After growing up on a farm south of Kearney, Nebraska, Kahle joined the United States Navy after high school. After a short stint on the USS Forrestal, he was assigned to the Patrol Squadron 8 (VP-8) in Brunswick, Maine, where he advanced to Petty Officer 3rd Class as an Aviation Electrician’s Mate. When Kahle left the Navy, he attended the University of Nebraska at Kearney, earning a degree in Aircraft Systems Management and also his pilot’s license.

Kahle and his wife Andrea have two children: Leyton (11) and Autumn (8). He and his family are looking forward to all of the great outdoor adventures Michigan has to offer.
