US Airways Promotes CFO, Names New Chief Information Officer

Airline Shuffles Executives On Board Approval

US Airways announced Monday the promotion of Derek J. Kerr to executive vice president and chief financial officer, and named Brad Jensen as senior vice president and chief information officer. Both officer appointments were approved last week by the company's board of directors.

"We are very pleased to recognize the significant contributions Derek has made to our company and welcome Brad to US Airways," said US Airways Chairman and CEO Doug Parker. "Derek and Brad are outstanding leaders and will play important roles in shaping the future of our airline."

As executive vice president and chief financial officer, Kerr is responsible for all corporate financial functions including Treasury, Accounting, Financial Planning and Analysis, Tax, Risk Management, Strategic Planning and Investor Relations.

He was named senior vice president and chief financial officer in 2005, a position he held with America West Airlines prior to the merger with US Airways. Kerr will continue to report to Parker.

Jensen brings more than 30 years of extensive application development, planning, distribution, platform and systems knowledge to the airline. He will lead a team of approximately 500 professionals responsible for overseeing all Information Technology (IT)-related acquisitions and services.

He will be based at the airline's corporate headquarters in Tempe and report to US Airways President Scott Kirby.
