Cirrus Design To Host Career Fair

Expansion Plans Create New Jobs

Cirrus Design will host a Manufacturing Career Fair, this week, on Thursday, May 5, between the hours of 4:30 - 7:30 pm at the Cirrus Duluth (MN) location. Cirrus, with major manufacturing facilities in Duluth and Grand Forks, North Dakota, is planning a major expansion to accommodate demand for future growth requirements.

“We’re excited to bring new jobs to the Duluth area,” said Cirrus CEO Alan Klapmeier. “It’s the high quality of our employees that has been crucial to the overall success at Cirrus.”

A wide variety of positions are available in both manufacturing and engineering. Jobs in manufacturing include: Paint/Detail/Body Technicians, Mechanics/Riggers, Composite Fabricators, Quality Assurance Technicians, Assemblers, and Avionics Technicians. Applicants are also encouraged to apply for positions as systems, engine, airframe, quality and manufacturing engineers and associated support staff.

Judi Northey, vice president of human resources, said, “The aviation industry offers many career opportunities that individuals may not be aware, or may not have occurred to them. Attending our Career Fair is a great way to learn about these opportunities. We are constantly seeking good people with great work ethics, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn. Cirrus offers an excellent benefit package and opportunities for advancement – if you're looking for an adventure, we're looking for you!"

Pre-registration is required for the event and interested applicants are asked to arrange a time slot to attend a group presentation and brief tour by calling either Human Resources at 218-788-3172, the Job Line at 218-788-3200, or via email at proed@cirrusdesign.com. Cirrus Design Corporation is located at 4515 Taylor Circle, Duluth MN 55811. Times for applicants to meet with company personnel will be scheduled in half-hour intervals and it is requested that all applicants prepare a job application.
