JETTECH Teams With Southern Star Avionics To Complete Interface
JETTECH has added Innovative Solutions and Support (IS&S) RVSM install capability to its Garmin G600 Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) for Citation 500 Series aircraft. By partnering with Southern Star Avionics, which holds an STC for a RVSM Air Data System, JETTECH is able to complete a path to interface for its G600 glass panel retrofit for Citation models 500, 501, 550, 551, S550 and 560.
The teaming of the two STC holders will allow most of the previously installed RVSM equipment to be retained thus reducing cost and down time for the G600 RVSM installation. “The owners and operators of legacy Citations are eager to upgrade their flight deck with the latest in glass panel technology,” said Rob Irwin, founder and member/manager of JETTECH. “Our goal is to affordably resolve any G600 installation issues as they arise.”
Irwin said the G600 modification is designed to provide pilots with the highest degree of Situational Awareness including synthetic vision, terrain awareness, traffic collision avoidance systems, digital weather radar, satellite weather radar and lightning strike information. Installation kits will be available through JETTECH approved Garmin authorized dealers along with a complete documentation package to support the installation process.
In addition to the Garmin G600 STC Install for Legacy Citations, JETTECH previously announced a Garmin G600 RVSM STC Award for Cheyenne III, IIIA & 400LS. Also, JETTECH owns the STC install for the Garmin GTN 650/750 “Touch Screen” series GPS for the Citation 500 series that includes WAAS approvals.
