GA Manufacturers Host Aircraft Expos In Texas, Southeast

Everything From Business Airplanes To LSA's On Display To Potential Buyers

The Fall 2010 Aircraft Expo Series gives serious aircraft shoppers an opportunity to compare the leading models at an airport close to their home. A group of leading general aviation aircraft manufacturers and dealers announced the launch of the Fall 2010 Texas and Southeastern Aircraft Expos on Tuesday. The series of events provide aircraft purchasers the chance to see and compare major aircraft makes together at one location.

Among the aircraft manufacturers scheduled to participate at various locations are Aviat-Husky, Cessna, Cirrus, Diamond, Extra, Mooney, Piper and Remos.

In Texas, Expos will be held in Houston at Ellington Field (September 30); Conroe (October 1); Amarillo (October 14); Lubbock (October 15); and Odessa (October 16).  All Texas Expos are from 1200 to 1700 except Odessa, which is 1000 to 1500. In the Southeast, Expos will be held in Shreveport, Louisiana (October 2); New Orleans, Louisiana (October 3); Jackson, Mississippi (October 8); Metro Memphis-Olive Branch (October 9); Nashville-Smyrna (October 15); and Birmingham, Alabama (October 16). All Southeast Expos are from 1300-1800.

"These Expo events give serious aircraft shoppers a chance to compare all the latest models at an airport close to where they live," said Fred Ahles, president of Premier Aircraft Sales, Inc. and a participant in the event. "Despite the economy, interest in aircraft purchases remains steady and we anticipate the same level of interest again this year.

"Anyone interested in owning a new airplane doesn't want to miss an Aircraft Expo event when it comes to an airport near them," Ahles said. Along with new aircraft, attendees will also have an opportunity to talk to Lou Meiners, the nation's leading authority on aircraft tax taxation issues, at 4 p.m. at the shows in Shreveport October 2, New Orleans October 3, Nashville-Smyrna October 15 and Birmingham October 16.
