Landmark Aviation Acquires Scottsdale's Corporate Jets FBO

Acquisition Expands Landmark's Engine and Avionics Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul Network

Landmark Aviation has acquired Corporate Jets Inc., of Scottsdale, Ariz., - a full service business aviation fixed base operation (FBO) and aircraft maintenance, sales and charter operation at the Scottsdale Airport (SDL).

"Scottsdale is a strategic acquisition for Landmark Aviation in a key market, expanding our maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) and FBO network throughout North America," said Roger Wolfe, Chief Executive Officer, Landmark Aviation.

"This operation offers 24-hour service, including aircraft maintenance, charter, sales and management - as well as being an authorized service center for Learjet and Cirrus.

"The FBO is an authorized service center for Pratt & Whitney and Honeywell aircraft engines, providing Landmark customers with an additional avionics, engine and airframe maintenance location in the United States," Wolfe said.

Scottsdale will also be a base for a Landmark Mobile Service Team of technicians, available 24/7 to travel to aircraft requiring repairs and providing on-site service.

Landmark Aviation's Scottsdale location also has Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Part 135 charter operation authorization, with worldwide authority. Aircraft under charter at Scottsdale include a Global Express, Challenger 300 and 604, Learjet 35 and 36, and Pilatus. The operation also has a Learjet 55, which is undergoing a conformity inspection and will be available soon. The facility additionally manages a Gulfstream 550 and two King Air 200 aircraft. A new Citation CJ2 is scheduled for delivery in May.

Full FBO services are available at Scottsdale, including fuel, pilot lounge, crew cars, catering, oxygen, and aircraft interior and exterior cleaning. The operation offers 87,000 square feet of hangar space and four executive hangars.

The facility is on more than five acres of land and has more than 10,000 square feet of space dedicated to aircraft maintenance hangars. It has 13,000 square feet of office and customer space. Terms of the agreement between Landmark Aviation and Corporate Jets Inc. were not disclosed. Possession of the facility by Landmark Aviation will commence immediately, Wolfe said.

In January Landmark Aviation announced completion of an acquisition from Jet Equity of the Skyport FBO at the Westchester County Airport (HPN) in New York.
