100 Yards From the Airport

...and not much farther from the Arizona border, 42-year-old Joseph Michael Young of Henderson (NV) and his passenger, John Blankenship, were killed Sunday in the crash of the Bonanza. Both were declared dead at the scene.

Local stories said that officials hadn't determined whether the flight was originating at Mesquite, or if that were the destination. No fire was reported.

The 1965 vintage V-tail is registered to VTB-Fliers LLC, in Las Vegas (NV), according to FAA records.

The FAA and NTSB are investigating.
