FLIGHT RESTRICTIONS LOUISIANA COASTLINE. EFFECTIVE 0509282300 UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE. PURSUANT TO 14 CFR SECTION 91.137(A)(2), TEMPORARY FLIGHT RESTRICTIONS ARE IN EFFECT WITHIN THE AREA BOUNDED BY: 303401N/0932457W OR THE LAKE CHARLES /LCH/ VORTAC 321 DEGREE RADIAL AT 30.2 NAUTICAL MILES THEN TO 303401N/0921150W OR THE LAFAYETTE /LFT/ VORTAC 332 DEGREE RADIAL AT 24.8 NAUTICAL MILES THEN TO 293800N/0921150W OR THE WHITE LAKE /LLA/ VOR/DME 97 DEGREE RADIAL AT 9.3 NAUTICAL MILES THEN TO 293800N/0932457W OR THE SABINE PASS /SBI/ VORTAC 088 DEGREE RADIAL AT 32.6 NAUTICAL MILES BACK TO ORIGINAL POINT AT AND BELOW 5000 FEET MSL TO PROVIDE A SAFE ENVIRONMENT FOR HURRICANE RITA DISASTER RELIEF RELATED OPERATIONS. ALL AIRCRAFT OPERATIONS ARE PROHIBITED IN THE DESIGNATED AIRSPACE UNLESS FLIGHTS MEET AT LEAST ONE OF THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS: (A) AIRCRAFT OPERATIONS ARE LIFEGUARD/MEDICAL, SEARCH AND RESCUE, LAW ENFORCEMENT, OR OTHER FLIGHTS IN DIRECT SUPPORT OF FEMA HURRICANE RITA RELIEF EFFORTS; (B) AIRCRAFT OPERATIONS ARE DOD FLIGHTS IN SUPPORT OF JOINT TASK FORCE RITA; (C) AIRCRAFT OPERATION IS CARRYING PROPERLY ACCREDITED NEWS REPRESENTATIVES AND, PRIOR TO ENTERING DESIGNATED AIRSPACE, A FLIGHT PLAN IS FILED WITH ATC AND FLIGHT IS CONDUCTED ABOVE THE ALTITUDE USED BY RELIEF RELATED END PART 1 OF 2

FDC 5/8873 ZHU PART 2 OF 2 FLIGHT RESTRICTIONS LOUISIANA COASTLINE. AIRCRAFT UNLESS AUTHORIZED BY ATC; (D) AIRCRAFT OPERATION IS FLIGHT DIRECTLY TO OR FROM AIRPORT WITHIN THE AREA OR IS NECESSITATED BY IMPRACTICABILITY OF VFR FLIGHT ABOVE OR AROUND THE AREA DUE TO WEATHER OR TERRAIN AS LONG AS PRIOR COORDINATION WITH THE AFSS OR ATC FACILITY NOTED BELOW IS EFFECTED TO RECEIVE ADVISORIES REGARDING DISASTER RELIEF FLIGHTS IN AREA, OPERATION DOES NOT HAMPER OR ENDAGNER RELIEF FLIGHTS, AND FLIGHT IS NOT CONDUCTED FOR PURPOSE OF OBSERVING DISASTER AREA; (E) AIRCRAFT OPERATIONS ARE AUTHORIZED BY ATC AND ARE CONDUCTED IN ACCORDANCE WITH AN ATC APPROVED IFR FLIGHT PLAN. FOR FLIGHT SAFETY, ALL NON-RELIEF RELATED AIRCRAFT OPERATIONS MUST REMAIN AT LEAST 500 FEET ABOVE OR 1500 FEET LATERALLY FROM ALL DISASTER RELIEF AIRCRAFT AND AT LEAST 500 FEET ABOVE GROUND LEVEL EXCEPT FOR TAKEOFF AND LANDING UNLESS AUTHORIZED BY ATC. THE FAA COORDINATION FACILITY IS THE AIR TRAFFIC OPERATIONS (ATO) WATCH DESK AND MAY BE REACHED AT 202-267-3333. FAA RECOMMENDS THAT AIRCRAFT OPERATORS CHECK NOTAMS FREQUENTLY FOR POSSIBLE CHANGES TO THIS TFR PRIOR TO OPERATIONS WITHIN THIS AREA. END PART 2 OF 2
