Embraer-Owned Service Center Opens At Le Bourget

Facility Earns EASA Approval

Owners of Embraer business jets will have the opportunity to drop their planes off for service while attending the 2009 Paris Air Show. The Brazilian planemaker recently opened a new Executive Jets Center at Le Bourget Airport in Paris, after receiving European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) Part 145 approval to operate in Europe.

The facility is dedicated exclusively to the Embraer Executive Jets fleet, and joins the existing service center network that includes OGMA, in Portugal, and four other Embraer authorized service centers in the region. All offer maintenance for the Legacy 600, and will support the Phenom 100 and the Phenom 300 as they enter operation in 2008 and 2009, respectively.

"We are thrilled to offer yet another support base in Europe for our Executive Jets customers," said Maurício Aveiro, Embraer Vice President, Customer Support - Executive Jets. "The Le Bourget facility is further confirmation of Embraer’s commitment to building its dedicated Executive Jets customer support network."

Significant investments were made in the refurbishment of the Le Bourget facility, in the spare parts inventory and in ground support equipment, in order to offer specialized executive jets support and maintenance. The new service center will provide routine checks, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, and will be prepared to deploy rescue teams throughout Europe in support of Legacy 600 operations, as well as the Phenom 100 and the Phenom 300 upon their entry into service.

"We are pleased with EASA’s approval in validation of Embraer’s solid and studied investment on the technical capability of Le Bourget," said Evandro Braga de Oliveira, Embraer Vice President, Aircraft Maintenance Services. "Our space, equipment, trained personnel, and customer-centered facilities are dedicated to maintaining the high availability of our customers’ executive jets."

Located 20 minutes from downtown Paris, the Le Bourget service center has a total area of 37,674 square feet (3,500 square meters) and 20,451-square-foot (1,900-square-meter) hangar. The facility offers customers an executive ambience with deluxe amenities.
