Second AgustaWestland Service Center Coming Soon To South Africa

Precision Aviation Services Provides Full Range Of MRO Options

AgustaWestland announced this week that Precision Aviation Services (PAS) will establish the second AgustaWestland Service Center at Cape Town International Airport in South Africa. The Service Center will be set up by and opened by the end of 2008, adding to the PAS-managed facility in Pretoria.

The new facility will provide maintenance and repair services as well as maintaining a spare parts inventory for a range of AgustaWestland helicopters including the AW119 Ke, AW109 Power, Grand and AW139.

As the sole Authorized Service Center in Southern Africa for AgustaWestland, the primary responsibility of PAS is the service, maintenance and repair of AgustaWestland's commercial helicopters in the subcontinent through dedicated helicopter service facilities built to meet the requirements of AgustaWestland's customers.

Through PAS, AgustaWestland will be able to offer its growing number of customers in the Southern African helicopter market a greater level of service. The set up of this second Service Center will also create a significant number of skilled technical jobs.

AgustaWestland now has approximately 60 service centers worldwide, with steps underway to add to that total.
