Precision Aviation Group To Acquire Pegasus Aircraft

Company Services Helicopters , Fixed-Wing Aircraft

Aero-News has learned Precision Aviation Group has agreed, in principal, to buy Pegasus Aircraft Components in Richmond, British Colombia.

The new company will be called Precision Accessories and Instruments Canada (PAI Canada) and will work in conjunction with Precision Heliparts Canada, (PHP Canada). PAG says the move will be an upgrade in services to Canadian customers operating Bell, Sikorsky, Eurocopter and MDHS/Hughes Rotary Wing aircraft.

The two Canadian operations will compliment the PAG's home-base Atlanta facilities near Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport.

"The acquisition of Pegasus demonstrates our commitment to our Canadian customers," said David Mast, PAG President. "Our goal is to continue to provide the best value in both helicopter and turboprop fixed-wing parts sales and service. Our business practices distinguish us in providing technical expertise, exceptional customer Service, and in maintaining large inventory to support our customers."

Owner and General Manager of Pegasus, Ron Breitenstein, will join the new company and assume the marketing responsibilities of PAI Canada.

"We will continue calling on our current customer base, which right now is about 85 percent of our business," said Breitenstein. "Joining with Precision Aviation Group will enable us to develop even better practices for the industry leader in customer service."

PAI Canada will be providing a full range of repair and overhaul services to helicopter operators. It will also support regional, corporate, and charter turboprop fixed wing operations as well, specializing in repair and overhaul of starter generators, instruments, avionics, electrical accessories and components.

The PAG companies will support Bell, Eurocopter, McDonnell-Douglas/Hughes, Agusta, and Sikorsky helicopters along with turboprop fixed-wing aircraft, such as Kingairs, Caravans, Citations, and Piper Cheyennes.
