Attendees Can Get Eight Critical Minutes Of Face Time With
Contractors
If it works for personal relationships, it just might work in
business relationships as well. The 2010 Oklahoma Aerospace Summit
& Expo is planning a "speed dating" format to give attendees a
unique opportunity to meet one-on-one with OEMs/Primes Contractors
and Government Agencies. These eight-minute meetings provide a way
to build and strengthen relations that will enable participants to
expand their business networks.
Attendees can select the contacts they prefer to meet by registering
online under the Register Now column. Upon arrival at the
conference, attendees will select a specific meeting time with each
of the contacts they have selected. Meeting times are final and
missed appointments will only be rescheduled if time permits.
The first opportunity session will take place Wednesday, June 2
from 2:30 to 5 p.m. The second session will be held Thursday, June
3 from 2 to 5 p.m. A full list of participating companies can be found online.
The Summit kicks off with a golf tournament at the Jimmie Austin
Golf Club at the University of Oklahoma on June 1. June 2 and 3
feature keynote speakers and breakout sessions, with topics such as
"Supply Chain Challenges," "Weapon Systems and Future Workload,"
and "Threats to General and Business Aviation." There will be
networking events in the evenings. The final day, June 4, is
Education and Training Day, which will be held at the Oklahoma
School of Science and Mathematics in Oklahoma City.
Oklahoma's aerospace industry is responsible for more than
143,000 jobs in the state, a $5 billion dollar annual payroll, and
nearly $12 billion in industrial output or about 10 percent of
Oklahoma's economy. In the past, the Summit has drawn as many as
1,000 attendees and more than 100 exhibiting companies. Attendees
come from all over the state, and surrounding states such as Texas,
Kansas, Colorado, Missouri and Arkansas.
