2008 Michelin/Careers In Aviation Scholarship Awarded

Winner Will Apply $1000 Award To Flight Time, Books

Careers in Aviation announced Monday the 2008 Michelin Scholarship recipient has been awarded to Desiree Nicole White from Mary Esther, FL. The $1000 scholarship was open to students to complete their education in the field of aerospace.

White, a flight student with a grade point average of 3.9, will be attending Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University working toward completing her degree and reaching her goals to work in the aerospace industry. She said her pilot-father instilled the love of aviation in her as a very young child.

"I feel truly honored to receive the 2008 Michelin - Careers in Aviation Scholarship," said Desiree Nicole White. "Every dollar brings me closer to reaching my goal. I will someday be among one of those few sitting in the front seat with the perfect view and the perfect job!"

Careers in Aviation says Desiree will apply her scholarship award toward flight time and books.

Michelin Aircraft Tire is an acknowledged supporter of educational programs such as those offered by Careers in Aviation.
