Will Provide A 'Full Customer Service Experience'
K2 Unmanned Systems, Inc, a U.S. commercial drone manufacturer, flight ops, and training company, has announced their partnership with Robotic Skies to provide K2 customers the complete customer service experience.
K2 Unmanned recently released their new industrial-grade drone, the Knight Hawk. This coaxial octocopter sUAS is equipped with a FLIR Duo pro camera, displaying thermal signatures along with 4K electro-optical imagery. The system is designed with closed circuit, encrypted HD downlink to ensure information is not sent to unwanted foreign servers. To go a step further, the Knight Hawk does not have flight restrictions set on the system, solving the problems that many first responders with valid waivers and COAs face in critical, life-saving situations. This UAV can handle an additional payload capacity of up to five pounds beyond the camera weight, to deliver critical need items like emergency supplies and personal flotation devices.
"We provide a comprehensive sUAS product & service package for our customers, so scheduled maintenance and efficient repair service is an important part of that puzzle," said K2 founder and CEO Jason Kamdar.
For this task, K2 has partnered with Robotic Skies, and their global network of more than 150 independently-owned and operated repair stations across 35 countries. Each service center in the network possesses aviation expertise and factory training to ensure the mission readiness of commercial unmanned systems. Robotic Skies offers its customers, like K2, turnkey field service programs designed to keep their UAS flying safely, efficiently and affordably.
The relationship offers a new dynamic to the drone industry, one where UAV owners will have rapid, local access to sUAS product support, both in the shop as well as field service technicians who can repair your unit in the field.
"We are there with you every step of the way," says Kamdar.
