Source: Boeing Engineer and VP Of Aircraft Development Walt Gillette, on revelations Boeing's extensive use of composites on such aircraft as the upcoming 787 may have roots in the development program of the B-2 stealth bomber 20 years ago -- which would mean Boeing may be illegally sending technology developed for military purposes overseas. The company is taking several steps to insure propriety, even going so far as to retest parts for commercial use even though the results are already known from military testing.
