ANN Thanks AOPA Expo 2007 Special Coverage Sponsors: Cirrus Design!

ANN Thanks One Of Our Favorite AOPA Expo 2007 Special Coverage Sponsors: Cirrus Design (Display Areas #629 and The Mobile Showroom)

It is tremendously difficult to raise the bar each year in regards to our special events coverage, but thanks to sponsors like Cirrus Design, we get the chance to try. These programs are no small endeavor... and tend to be costly, to boot. So; that's why we're so thrilled (OK, relieved) to speak up and thank the folks who are paying the bills this week. Some of the finest companies in the business have ponied up some very serious bucks so that YOU can read the most comprehensive coverage we know how to offer.

Of course, when you're trying to do something extraordinary, it always make life easier if you partner up with a company that does the extraordinary every day... by delivering the next generation SR series of Cirrus Design wunder-planes.

What else is there to say, we want a turbo SR22 G3 BAD (and not simply for the off chance of getting to see SR22 owner Angelina Jolie at the next COPA gathering.) It's not surprising that the combination of a turbocharger -- and a hot new Hartzell prop -- makes a wonderful aircraft even more so.

Cirrus has an SR model for everybody -- from the VFR-spec SRV, to the midrange SR20 and on through the SR22 model line... and all of them equipped with the groundbreaking CAPS emergency parachute system.

Even if you've been living in a remote cave on an otherwise uninhabited island off lower Botswana, you'd still have to know that Cirrus Design has been turning this industry on it's ear for YEARS. AND better yet, they're about to do it all again.

You see, 'The Jet' is coming... the first of a new generation of Williams FJ33 powered GA jetplanes is finally being shown to the real world by the folks of Cirrus Design, and the aviation world is, naturally, all agog. Hint... the best is yet to come. Cirrus Design continues to have an amazing effect on this industry, and they can only help to revitalize the world of general aviation and put more capable safer airplanes into the hands of flyers all over the world... like you.

REALLY Neat Things To Know About Cirrus Design...

Did Ya Know That...

  • Cirrus was the first aircraft manufacturer to receive FAA Certification for an aircraft designed with an integral ballistic recovery system, the patented Cirrus Airframe Parachute System™ (CAPS™).
  • The first Cirrus aircraft to receive FAA Certification was the four-passenger SR20 in 1998.
  • Cirrus delivered the first all glass cockpit for a certified general aviation aircraft in 2004.
  • The SR22 is the world's best selling airplane four years running.
  • To date, Cirrus has manufactured and delivered over 2,800 aircraft.
  • The first successful deployment of the Cirrus Airframe Parachute System (CAPS™) occurred in October of 2002 when Texas pilot Lionel Morrison landed unharmed in a wooded area.
  • To date, the Cirrus Airframe Parachute System (CAPS™) is credited with saving the lives of 17 people.
  • Cirrus has teamed up with Tornado Alley to offer a new turbocharged engine.  Using turbo-normalizing technology, the new Turbo by Cirrus sets a new standard for fast and efficient flight-level flying.
  • This year, Cirrus launched 8 new industry leading ownership programs that make buying, owning and operating Cirrus aircraft easier than ever.
  • Cirrus first began operations in Baraboo, WI (KDLL) before moving to Duluth, MN in January of 1994.

Take my word for it... these folks are really setting this business on a dramatic new course. Hence, we are SO pleased to welcome Cirrus Design as a valued Sponsor for our Coverage of AOPA Expo 2007.

Please support our generous sponsors as they support our efforts to keep you up to date on one of the aviation world's most exciting events.
