M7 Aerospace Celebrates Five Year Anniversary

Began Operations April 1, 2003

M7 Aerospace recently celebrated its fifth year providing services to the aerospace industry. M7 Aerospace began operations with 175 employees on April 1, 2003.

In five years M7 has grown to nearly 500 employees operating five business units, including Manufacturing; Government Logistics Support Contracting; Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul; Aircraft Parts and Service Support and Engineering Services. M7 Aerospace has become an approved supplier to major aerospace clients including Boeing, Northrop Grumman, Spirit Aerosystems, AgustaWestland, Sikorsky, MD Helicopter, Erickson Air-Crane, Bell Helicopter and Lockheed Martin.

M7’s Manufacturing business unit has ISO 9001, AS9100 and Nadcap AS7004 certifications. In addition to having an FAA Part 21 Production Certificate, M7 Aerospace’s Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul business unit is an FAA Part 145 and EASA Part 145 Repair Station.  M7 has become the world's leader in passenger to freight conversions for ATR regional aircraft, with nearly 50 ATR 42 and ATR 72 freighters operating worldwide.

As the owner of the Type Certificates for the Fairchild Merlin and Metro series aircraft, M7’s Aircraft Parts and Service Support business unit provides spare parts and technical support to the world wide fleet of over 700 aircraft.

On January 22, 2004 M7 Aerospace’s newly formed Government Logistics Support Contracting business unit was awarded a contract to provide logistics support for the US military's fleet of C-20 aircraft, operated by the US Air Force, Army, Navy, and Marines. The C-20 is the military designation for Gulfstream III and IV series aircraft that provide worldwide airlift support for the Vice President, Secretaries of State and Defense and other government officials

In March of 2005 M7’s Government Logistics Support Contracting business unit was awarded a U.S. Army contract to support the Army National Guard's fleet of C-23 Sherpa aircraft. M7 will provide logistics support for up to 10 years for the C-23 Sherpa fleet.

Ron Frederick, President and CEO of M7 Aerospace, said "We would like to thank our customers and the employees at M7 Aerospace for our success in our first five years and look forward to the future."

M7 Aerospace is located on the international airport in San Antonio, TX. The company operates from a 426,000 sq. ft. factory complex formerly occupied by Fairchild Aircraft.
