Moving McClellan Park Aircraft To Vacaville Location
California Shock Trauma Air Rescue (CALSTAR), a not-for-profit
air ambulance company serving northern and central California
announced two changes Thursday in its base operations. The
organization has suspended operations of its helicopter base
located in Jackson, Amador County (CALSTAR 10). The company will
also relocate its helicopter base operations, formerly known as
CALSTAR 11, from its location at McClellan Park in Sacramento
County to Vacaville in Solano County.

Visiongain Forecasts Business Worth Nearly $4 Billion
Analysis from the European business intelligence firm Visiongain
indicates that the military helicopter modernization, upgrade &
retrofit market will reach a value of $3.98 billion in 2012. The
company attributes the forecast growth to the strains of recent
operations combine with tighter budgets, and a need to maintain a
qualitative advantage drive the upgrade and retrofit of existing
helicopter platforms.
Helo Will Serve Nation With Uniquely Challenging Terrain
The Kenya Police Air-Wing is expanding its airborne law
enforcement and crime prevention unit with the delivery of a
Eurocopter AS350 B3e Ecureuil helicopter. The selection follows an
open and competitive tender won earlier this year by Eurocopter
Southern Africa (Pty) Ltd, the Group subsidiary in charge of
Southern Africa markets.
ATR reported Tuesday that, according to its sales figures, it
represented more than 80% of regional airplane sales in 2011. The
company said the airplane's low fuel consumption, combined with
comfort and advanced technology are the main reasons for ATR's
success, the first signs of which were felt in 2005.

Full-Service Provider To Airline Partners To Receive
All-Business Class CS100s
Bombardier Aerospace announced today that Geneva-based PrivatAir
has placed a firm order for five CS100 airliners and has taken
options on an additional five CS100 aircraft. Based on the list
price for the CS100 aircraft, the firm order contract is valued at
approximately $309 million US, and could increase to $636 million
US if the five options are exercised.
The owner of a turboprop aircraft has retained an attorney and
filed suit against a Groton, CT FBO and its owner after his plane
was damaged by a fuel truck while in for repairs. The FBO
acknowledges its role, and says it has insurance, but the lawsuit
may be attempting to reach past the corporate "veil" to target the
owner personally.
