Lockheed Martin recently delivered the second of three
modernized developmental test C-5M aircraft to the US Air Force.
Following a brief ceremony at the company's Marietta facility, Gen.
Arthur J. Lichte, Commander, Air Mobility Command, flew the C-5M to

become familiar with the aircraft's new systems and

Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation announced Monday it recently
completed the first flight of its S-76D helicopter, the latest

flight to 40 knots in a test flight that lasted approximately 30
minutes.
A group of 22 US airlines have been in a fight with the

quarter of the security fees they've paid since 9/11 to conduct
airport screenings were unjustified.

The Alaska Airmen's Association is the largest state general
aviation group in Alaska. It is a non-profit 501 (c) 3 organization
whose sole purpose is to promote and preserve aviation in
Alaska.
Equivalent airspeed (EAS) is the airspeed at sea level which
represents the same dynamic pressure as that flying at the true
airspeed (TAS) at altitude. It is useful for predicting aircraft
handling, aerodynamic loads, stalling etc.
