Despite the seeming turmoil surrounding US Airways Group's
hostile takeover bid for Delta Air Lines, investors haven't wavered
in their support for the Atlanta-based carrier. In fact, thanks to
their dollars, bankrupt Delta is now worth more than the $8.4
billion merger offering.
The newly-formed United Launch Alliance -- a partnership formed
between once-rivals Boeing and Lockheed Martin -- has offered a
relocation package to more than 900 displaced Boeing employees in
California. The company expects about a third of them to
accept jobs in Denver, CO.
Aero-News has learned the second of two US Navy RQ-4A Global
Hawk Maritime Demonstration (GHMD) unmanned aircraft arrived on
December 6 at Naval Air Station, Patuxent River, MD following an
11.1 hour flight. The aircraft flew from Edwards Air Force Base, CA
where it had been undergoing acceptance tests and supporting recent
Navy demonstrations over Hawaii.
