BASS, HROI To Launch 'Helpdesk'

HR Help for Flight Departments, FBO's and Maintenance Operations.

For the first time, the owners and managers of aviation service and support operations like Flight Departments, Fixed Base Operations (FBO's) and Maintenance/Service providers now have access to professional "human resources" advice and solutions. BASS Inc., a provider of business services to the aviation market and HROI, one of Canada's leading providers of human capital solutions for small and mid-sized firms, have formed a strategic partnership to provide cost-effective, fast and easy-to-use human resources advice to the aviation industry.

You Fly, We'll Handle The Manpower

"Our current service offerings cover a wide range of business solutions for the aviation industry such as marketing, communications, operations training and management consulting,"  said BASS Inc. President, Rob Seaman. "More recently, our clients have been asking for additional expertise in human resource related areas - so partnering with HROI was a good way to broaden our offering without adding to our permanent overhead and downstream costs. Over the years we have worked with HROI on several projects, so formalization of the arrangement with them for the long-term was a natural fit."

Seaman said, "Our partnership with HROI will help BASS to expand our service offerings and bring a much needed resource to the aviation industry. As a strategic partner, HROI's new division, solutionsNOW, will enable FBOs, Flight Departments and Maintenance Providers to call-in or log on and get advice on a wide range of human resource challenges." As Seaman stated - "the key to this service is that it takes our knowledge of real aviation issues and puts it into context with proper HR mandates and techniques. Small business owners need this sort of help as much as larger corporations do - if not more so - but until now did not have a place like this to turn. With people being such a large investment component in the aviation industry, solutionsNOW will quickly become a Standard Operational Procedure (SOP) that should result in a better work environment and improved profitability."

Mike Salveta, HROI's Managing Director notes, "Our new division called HROI - solutionsNOW is a wonderful tool for BASS's client base. Human resource challenges are a top priority for any operation and in particular service oriented organizations like FBOs. Management or mismanagement in this area can make the difference in running a profitable operation. Besides", adds Salveta, "it's the people issues that keep most managers up at night. Now, small operators can access advice and solutions they need - information that prior to this was really only available to the large industry players with in-house HR departments and resources."

solutionsNOW will be made available to BASS clients for a monthly fee. Users can then call  or log-on to a secure web site for advice and support on any HR related matter. solutionsNOW will also offer targeted analysis, research, training, mentoring, news and information, as well as a broad range of project solutions, according to Salveta. From simple issues like how to conduct an interview, to more sensitive challenges like dismissal, harassment, sick leave or even basic wages and corporate HR policy development and implementation - solutionsNOW is a resource that was not available in this way before.
