Hawker Beechcraft Nets Orders From Jet Asia, Hainan Airlines Subsidiary

Ten New Orders Tallied At Asian Aerospace 2007

Hawker Beechcraft Corporation (HBC) tells ANN it received a pair of orders -- from Jet Asia Limited, and Deer Jet, subisidary of Hainan Airlines Company Group Limited -- at Asian Aerospace 2007 in Hong Kong.

Jet Asia Limited signed for eight of the company’s newest jets, four Hawker 900XP mid-size jets and four Hawker 750 light-midsize jets for use in the Asia Pacific. These aircraft will be used in support of Sociedade de Jogos de Macau (SJM), a casino company owned by Sociedade de Turismo e Diversoes de Macau (STDM), and to further develop the explosive Asian jet charter market.

Service using the new Hawker fleet will begin in December 2007, according to HBC.

"The Hawker 900XP and Hawker 750 provide our customers with the best combination of cabin size, payload, and range in their respective market segments," said Brad Hatt, president, Commercial Sales. "The Hawker has always been synonymous with quality, performance and value, and the new Hawker 900XP and 750 are very well positioned to serve the Asian charter market."

Jet Asia Limited was incorporated in Macau in 1997 for the STDM corporate flight department.  Executive charters are offered under authority granted by its Macau Air Operator Certificate.

The planemaker also earned an order from Hainan Airlines Company Group Limited’s subsidiary Deer Jet for two mid-size business jets -- a new Hawker 900XP and a Hawker 850XP. Hainan Airlines is one of the largest airlines in China, and Deer Jet is the largest business aircraft operator in China.

"The Hawker 850XP and Hawker 900XP provide the best combination of cabin size, payload, and range in this market segment," said Brad Hatt, president Commercial Sales. "China is a growing market with a burgeoning economy. As Chinese customers become more familiar with the Hawker Beechcraft line, we anticipate further sales in the region."

Deer Jet currently has four Hawker 800XPs in its operation and has been a long-time customer of HBC. They also manage a Beechcraft Premier I for Hangzhou Daoyuan Chemical Fibre Company, and will manage a new Hawker 850XP for them in the near future as well.
