Snowbirds to Open Canadian Aviation Expo

Kicking Off Canada's Biggest Air Show

On Friday, June 24, the 13th annual Canadian Aviation Expo will take off at the Oshawa Municipal Airport. The show will be opened by the Canadian Forces Snowbirds zooming aloft.

The 3 day trade and consumer event will run from 0900 to 1700 daily. This is Canada's largest aviation show and fly-in. This year, there will be an exciting aerial demonstration from 1300 - 1600 daily. The Canadian Forces Skyhawks Parachute Team will be on site all weekend with exciting demonstrations.

Over 200 exhibits include business aircraft, light aircraft, helicopters, vintage aircraft, gliders, ultra-lights, home built and experimental aircraft, aircraft simulators, flight schools, fly-in charter companies, powered models aircraft, memorabilia, computers, books, videos and art. New this year, the Red Knight jet (T-33) will be on display at the show.

Located in Oshawa, just 15 minutes east of Toronto, the show is easily accessed from Highway 401 and offers free parking on site. The show is also accessible by GO Train.

Thousands of Canadian and US aviation enthusiasts and pilots are expected to attend the Expo. Visitors to the show may soar skyward on any one of several aircraft available for flights throughout the weekend.
