Drew McEwen Named Piper VP Of Sales And Marketing

Veteran GA Industry Executive Will Lead Global Efforts

Piper has appointed General Aviation industry veteran, Drew McEwen, to Vice President of Sales and Marketing, where he will lead global sales and marketing for the Company. He will continue to report to President and CEO Simon Caldecott and serve on the Company's Executive Leadership Team.

"Drew's leadership of Piper's global sales team, including dealers, agents, regional sales directors and training fleet sales force, is exceptional," said Caldecott. "Adding Marketing to his executive responsibilities is a logical step that will enable him to be even more effective as Piper continues to grow its worldwide influence."

McEwen (pictured) joined Piper in 2010 as Director of Sales, Americas and was promoted to the executive team in 2011 as Head of Global Sales and Business Development. His industry experience includes more than 30 years of leadership in a number of key general aviation sales and marketing areas. He has held senior positions in customer and product support, aircraft sales, charter/management, fractional aircraft ownership and aftermarket sales. McEwen also holds the distinction as the highest individual sales producer, personally selling more than $1 billion in new aircraft, for another OEM.

McEwen is a pilot with 1,900 flight hours along with twin and instrument ratings. He holds a bachelor's degree in Communication from Arizona State University. He has also studied at the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia, with focus on sales and marketing strategies, professional sales skills and concepts of management.
