Raytheon Aircraft Company Offers King Air RVSM

Teams Up With Aeromech

Raytheon says it has teamed with Aeromech, Inc. to develop an RVSM solution for most of the Beechcraft King Air fleet.

The FAA has recently approved STCs for King Air 200, 300, and 350 (B300) aircraft now equipped with an APS-65 or APS-80 autopilot and ADC-80 air data computer configuration. Coupled with a previous OEM solution for the more recent King Air fleet, installed with the ADC-85 air data computer configuration, the majority of Rockwell Collins-equipped King Air 200, 300, and 350s now have a factory-sponsored solution available that will allow those customers to continue operations above 28,000 feet after the Jan. 20, 2005 compliance deadline.

"We have aggressively priced these solutions well below current market value of those packages not sponsored by Raytheon Aircraft Company in an effort to keep our operators flying at the altitudes and performance levels the King Air fleet was built while also minimizing the impact of cost of operations." said Ed Dolanski, Vice-President Customer Support.

Distribution of the RVSM kit solutions is exclusively offered through Raytheon Aircraft Parts Inventory and Distribution (RAPID). Special introductory pricing as been extended to Dec. 1, 2004, allowing King Air owners to meet the January deadline.

Additionally, Raytheon Aircraft Company and D&D Aviation Services have developed a service that will provide owners and operators RVSM operational approval and aircraft-specific Minimum Equipment List ("MEL") approval for aircraft manufactured by Raytheon Aircraft Company.

"We have attacked this issue from every angle - parts, data, installation, and certification in order to provide our customers a complete and cost-effective solution," said Randy Groom, President of Beechcraft.
