FAA Grants STC For GH-3900.2 In Dassault Falcon 2000/2000EX

Duncan Aviation Completes Installation Of The Electronic Standby Instrument System

Certification for the installation of an an L-3 Communications Avionics Systems GH-3900.2 Electronic Standby Instrument System for Dassault Falcon 2000 and 2000EX aircraft was recently granted to Duncan Aviation. This multi-use Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) also includes a Securaplane standby instruments backup battery.

The installation was completed at Duncan Aviation's Battle Creek, Michigan, facility, supported by a sales, certification, engineering and production team that included members from across multiple Duncan Aviation locations.

The installation was completed in just over eight weeks and was done in conjunction with a Pro Line 4 to 21 upgrade. Through its Organization Designation Authorization (ODA), Duncan Aviation certified this new Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) in January of this year, marking the first of many STCs expected in 2013.

"This installation and certification really demonstrates the advantage our ODA team provides. It is truly remarkable that this STC, from application to certificate issuance, was accomplished in just 53 days," said Duncan Aviation's Avionics Sales Representative Chad Ostertag. "This STC upgrades existing standby instrumentation from the original three units into one easy-to-read display and gives Falcon 2000 operators the last piece of glass for the popular Pro Line 21 retrofit."
