Knocks Down Flight Plan Entry Workload
TeleType Co. expands its TeleType
GPS WorldNavigator aviation product for both VFR and IFR
navigation. Victor Airways support is a powerful innovation that
greatly reduces the effort required to enter complex flight routes.
The Pocket PC based system allows a pilot to enter a route giving
the entry fix on a Victor Airway and the exit fix for that airway.
Multiple Victor Airways can be used in one flight route. While the
software has been updated to be used in an IFR environment, many of
the new features will also help VFR pilots seeking an easy-to-use
Pocket PC based GPS system.
"TeleType is excited to bring to the Pocket PC aviation
community a new level of functionality for Pocket PC GPS navigation
systems," said TeleType President Ed Friedman. The company has
retained the consulting services of Ed Strassberger, IFR rated
private pilot, to bring this new aviation product to the
market.
