Duncan Announces Personnel Upgrades

Congratulations

Duncan Aviation announced promotions this week for Steve Craig and Alan Huggett. Duncan Aviation is an aircraft service provider with major facilities in Lincoln, Nebraska and Battle Creek, Michigan.

Steve Craig has been promoted to the position of DAS (Designated Alteration Station) Administrator at its full-service facility in Lincoln, Nebraska. Craig has more than 17 years of aviation experience, seven of which have been with Duncan Aviation.

As DAS Administrator, he will coordinate all Lincoln, Nebraska-based avionics STC (Supplemental Type Certification) activities with the Wichita ACO. Upon completion of STC projects, Craig will also provide final approval on behalf of the FAA.

Craig held several positions on Duncan Aviation's Engineering Team in Lincoln, Nebraska. He has a bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, is an A&P, IA, and holds an FCC license and a systems and equipment delegation (DER).

"Steve's experience and knowledge base makes him a perfect fit for DAS Administrator," says Rich Teel, Duncan Aviation Engineering Manager. "His sustained and dedicated pursuit of DAS delegation for our facility in Lincoln, reinforce our decision that he is the right person for the position."

"Steve truly deserves this position and will serve our customers well," says Mike Chick Assistant Manager of Engineering.

DAS authorization allows the facility to approve STC projects internally on behalf of the FAA, greatly reducing the time required to complete new STCs and reduces FAA workloads. Duncan Aviation's facility in Battle Creek, Michigan, has been a DAS facility for several years and is administrated by Pete Phillips.

Alan Huggett has accepted the position of Airframe Service Sales Representative. Alan will be focusing on Learjet and Challenger service sales at the Battle Creek, Mich. facility.

Alan started his aircraft career in the United States Air Force in 1984 working as an F-15 Crew Chief at Langley Air Force Base in Virginia. Alan went on to work for Flight International as an A&P mechanic and eventually as an Airframe Sales Representative. Alan has also worked on various Military contracts for Lockheed Support Systems Inc. (LSSI) on C5 Galaxies, F-15 Eagles and S-3 Viking programs all as a senior airframe technician. Alan came to Duncan Aviation in 1998 as Tech III in the Airframe department and in 1999 he became a Project Manager.

"Alan will be able to put his strong customer service talents, previous service sales experience and strong customer relationships to work immediately to build our Learjet and Challenger Service Sales. We are happy to have him on the team," said Jeff Manion, Vice President of Service Sales. Alan looks forward to this new opportunity in his aviation career.
