At AEA’s 2010 ‘New Product Introductions,’ leading manufacturer, Flight Display Systems, announced two new retrofit cabin entertainment products.

In our final story with the folks of Flight Display Systems, FDS's Bob Hala checks in with Aero-TV and takes about a core product for the company... In-Cabin mapping displays that offer the well-heeled traveler solid info and the ultimate response to the perennial question... "Are We There Yet?"

CEO David Gray founded Flight Display Systems in 1999. Two years later, the company premiered its first product, the Flight Display Moving Map, providing a cheaper, more efficient option than anything in the aircraft cabin entertainment market.

After the success of the passenger-accessed moving map, the company expanded its product line to include LCD monitors and audio/video sources including aircraft DVD players, MP3/CD players, and Flight View cameras. Today, Flight Display Systems has 60 aircraft products with FAA PMA approval.
