Avidyne has announced
they have received FAA certification of their FlightMax Entegra
Integrated Flight Deck for the Lancair Columbia 400. FlightMax
Entegra will be offered as standard equipment on the Lancair
Columbia 400.
The FlightMax Entegra system for the Columbia 400 features the
unique portrait versions of Avidyne’s large 10.4”
EXP5000 Primary Flight Display (PFD) and EX5000 Multi-Function
Display (MFD). FlightMax Entegra for the Columbia 400 fully
integrates autopilot functions, providing flight director
capability, full autopilot control and mode annunciations on the
EXP5000.
Entegra’s EMax engine instrumentation system has been
enhanced to provide support for the Lancair Columbia 400’s
turbocharged TSIO-550 engine, taking the guesswork out of fuel and
power management. Enhancements include lean assist, percent power
and fuel totalizer functions optimized for the Columbia 400 as well
as the display of turbine inlet temperature. FlightMax Entegra for
the Columbia 400 also adds the ability to display TIS traffic.
The EXP5000 includes Avidyne’s fully integrated
solid-state Air Data and Attitude/Heading Reference System
(ADAHRS), which now supports in flight alignment and alignment
during taxi. Lancair offers Entegra’s integrated datalink
weather capability and EMax™ engine instrumentation as
optional equipment.
