American Eurocopter Opens New Fleet Operations Center

New Facility The Company's Customer Service Headquarters

During the company's 40th Anniversary celebration at its Grand Prairie, TX, headquarters last week, American Eurocopter cut the ribbon for its new, state-of-the-art Customer Service and Fleet Operations Center (CSFC).

"As the leading helicopter supplier in the United States, our customers deserve superior customer support," says Marc Paganini, President and CEO of American Eurocopter. "Our new Customer Service and Fleet Operations Center will put us in the position to provide the best customer support in the industry."

The CSFC is intended to improve American Eurocopter's support and services. The company has on-going investments in local repair and overhaul capabilities, an ever-growing local supply chain, as well as an extensive investment in training and simulation services. To better align itself to meet evolving customer needs, the company has also undergone an organizational change that combined its marketing, sales and customer support functions into a single, streamlined operation. This streamlining allows for seamless support of its products from sales and delivery through their full service life.

"This is not just a move to a new location with new technology," explains Larry Roberts, American Eurocopter's Vice President of Sales, Marketing and Customer Support. "The CSFC is a major step forward for our business, and it is part of an initiative designed to bring our customer service and support to the top of the industry. If a customer can't fly, we don't want it to be on our account."

The investment in this new Customer Service and Fleet Operations Center is just one of the more visible efforts that American Eurocopter and Eurocopter have been making to achieve their stated goal of providing their customers with the best service and support in the industry. This is the third customer support center that has been opened by the Eurocopter Group within the last 20 months, with the first two being opened in Europe (La Durane, France) and Asia (Hong Kong). American Eurocopter's CSFC is designed to not only enhance the company's ability to support its local customers, but it will also be linked-in to the existing centers in La Durane and Hong Kong to ensure that customers have access to the logistics and technical support capabilities of Eurocopter and its 14,000 global employees.

This facility will be staffed by American Eurocopter's team of supply and service specialists. American Eurocopter says the new CSFC will offer expanded on-site hours of operations as well as programs and processes that will allow the team to be more proactive in meeting customers' needs.
