Former Flight Attendant Sues Oprah Over Firing

She And Pilot Were Accused Of In-Flight Sex On Private Jet

A flight attendant who worked aboard Oprah Winfrey's private jet is suing the television talk star after she was fired for allegedly having sex with the pilot while the airplane was in flight.

39-year-old Corrine Gehrls said the two other flight attendants, Myron Gooch and Kirby Bumpus, accused her of having sex with pilot Terry Pansing, who was also let go.

Gehrls told The San Jose Mercury-News that she and Pansing had both passed polygraph tests to prove their innocence, but were let go anyway. She is seeking $75,000 from Winfrey, the other two flight attendants (Bumpus is the daughter of Oprah's long-time friend Gayle King), as well as Harpo Productions, Oprah's production company. Attorneys for Harpo Productions say Gehrls lawsuit is without merit, but had no other comment.
