Two Twins And An Archer Powered By Auto Gas Among The Aircraft In The Company's Static Area
Piper Aircraft Inc. will display a number of exceptional aircraft during 2013 AirVenture Oshkosh, July 29 - Aug. 4. Included in the Piper static exhibit will be the Team Chambliss Piper Meridian, a milestone 800th Piper Mirage, two G1000 equipped Piper Twin Class aircraft and a special Piper Archer powered by 93 octane AutoGas.
Piper Aircraft Inc. and Red Bull Team Chambliss will display Team Chambliss' company transport support airplane, a Piper Meridian, along with Kirby Chambliss' aerobatic Edge 540, one of the flight attractions at Oshkosh. The aircraft will be at Piper's exhibit beginning Wed. July 31. Chambliss will be at the Piper exhibit to sign autographs and talk to fans from 10:15 to 11:00 a.m. Wednesday and from 10:30 to 11:15 a.m. Friday. Also on display will be a cabin mockup of the Piper Meridian's latest interior.
At AirVenture Piper will deliver and display the company's milestone 800th M-Class single-engine pressurized Piper Mirage. The airplane will be delivered to Muncie Aviation, Piper's dealer for new aircraft, serving Michigan, Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio and southern Illinois. Also on display will be Piper's latest G1000 equipped Seneca V and Seminole aircraft. Both models received their G1000 Type Certificates this year. Garmin's G1000 is a seamlessly integrated all-glass avionics suite that makes flight information easier to scan and process.
Last, but not least, Piper is displaying a Piper Archer powered by 93 octane unleaded automobile gas. Piper worked with Airworthy AutoGas LLC, Phoenix, AZ, to prove the concept in a test flight regime conducted from the company's Vero Beach manufacturing campus.
