Release Dates Pushed Back Until 2022

Paramount has revealed the delay of its Tom Cruise flicks “Top Gun: Maverick” and “Mission: Impossible 7” (which never fails to feature some outstanding aviation-oriented action) due to the surge of the delta variant of COVID-19. The release dates have been updated to May 27, 2022 for “Top Gun: Maverick” instead of November 19, 2021 and “Mission: Impossible 7” will now be shown on September 30, 2022 instated of May 27, 2022. US Airlines Announce 3-Billion Gallon Sustainable Aviation Fuel Production Goal

Carriers Raise 2030 Target By 50 Percent

Airlines for America, the industry trade organization representing the leading US airlines, announced that member carriers have pledged to work with government leaders and other stakeholders to make 3 billion gallons of cost-competitive sustainable aviation fuel available to U.S. aircraft operators in 2030. Airlines for America pledged to work toward a rapid expansion to produce and distribute the sustainable aviation fuel in March.

The General Aviation Manufacturers Association revealed the addition of AIR, Archer, and DBT Aero as Associate Members EPIC on September 9, 2021. AIR is based in Pardes Hana, Israel, and was founded in 2018. They are developing personal use electric vertical and takeoff aircraft with a focus on a combination of aerospace innovation, automotive technology and FAA approved safety standards.

Inspiration4 Mission Countdown Continues

Historic All Civilian Crew Set To Launch Next Week

The Falcon 9 rocket was spotted in motion as it was being transported from its processing facility to the Launch Complex 39A, gearing up for its historic launch next week taking place no earlier than 8pm EDT on September 15th, 2021 -- delayed a day from its original schedule due to weather concerns. The crew for the Inspiration4 mission was announced in March of this year, and the group has arrived at the Kennedy Space center in Florida from Los Angeles in preparation for the launch. Inspiration4 will be the first mission in history to send an all civilian crew into orbit without a NASA astronaut onboard.

Altitude Angel, Unified Traffic Management technology provider, released news that its Search and Rescue flight planning tool, SarStuff, will now integrate its GuardianUTM Cloud platform to provide flight operations managers with the information they need to help save lives. NTSB Prelim: Flying K Enterprises Sky Raider

Engine Subsequently Lost Power, And The Pilot Set-Up A Forced Landing To A Field

On August 15, 2021, about 1636 central daylight time, a Flying K Enterprises Sky Raider airplane, N56179 was substantially damaged when it was involved in an accident near  Towanda, Kansas. The pilot sustained serious injuries. The airplane was operated as a Title 14 Code of Federal Regulations Part 91 personal flight. The pilot reported the engine run-up and takeoff were routine. However, during the initial climb about 150 ft above ground level, the engine speed started to decrease.
