Mr. Fang has many business interests in China, including FBOs but Glasair is his first foray into aviation manufacturing. He and former owner Mikael Via said the airplane would continue to be produced in the U.S.

Sally Ride, who became a household name after becoming the first American woman to fly in space, passed away Monday at the age of 61. Ride had been diagnosed 17 months ago with pancreatic cancer.
